[Cooker] VMWare and 8.1 - Anyone try it?

What's the scoop with VMWare and 8.1?  has it been tested or tried?

I loaded VMWare on 8.1RC1, but it didn't stick . . . on new boot - it
disappeared.

Could someone shed some light on this one . . .
