I did a fresh RC1 install the other day and the /dev/cdrom link was
broken. Ditto when I upgraded to the latest cooker. There was no
/dev/cdroms directory, no /dev/scd0, and nothing in
/dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target2/lun0. Doing:
modprobe sr_mod
fixed it. Is this supposed to be loaded at boot-time? It tries to do:
modprobe scsi_hostadapter
at boot-up and that command seg faults. Are they related?
Let me know if you want to see config files. It's an Adaptec 29160
(using the aic7xxx module).
thanks,
Stephen
