Never mind! Installed the latest kdebase stuff, all is well. Thanks! ---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Subject: [Cooker] KMail 1.3.1 won't send mail Date: Mon, 24 Sep 2001 21:03:20 -0400 From: Jay DeKing <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] As of yesterday, I have all of the cooker updates installed - not all of the cooker files, just the ones that update the files I already had on my machine. Anyway, now I can only check my mail on my primary account when I use KMail. I cannot send at all. I receive the following error when I try to send: Sending failed: a SMTP error occured. Command: CONNECT Response: Host Not Found. Also, I can no longer check the mail on two other accounts that I normally check daily. I checked my KMail configuration, re-entered the password, checked the port setting, etc. to no avail. However, if I use Netscape mail (as I am now), I can check ANY account, and I can send mail with reckless abandon! (Woo-hoo!) So, I am at least able to send this query. I'd prefer to use KMail, though; any help would be welcome. Thanks, Jay DeKing ------------------------------------------------------- -- Real Programmers don't eat quiche.
