Hi guys,
I'm building, mainly for learning, the xine-0.9.0 rpm. Now I
have *.la
files which are causing problems since I don't where to put them. I
first put them within the lib package with the *.so.* but rpmlint
complained saying non-versionised-version for all *.la libs. After
searching on the topic I've found something saying to put them apart of
development libs. This was not the problem since all *.so files are
needed as plugin for xine to work(so include in main package
xine-0.9.0-1mdk). The only thing in devel package is xine-config plus
the header files.
Now what should I do with those *.la files, where to put them to
comply
to rpmlint? Any help or tip would be appreciated. Even though I went
through libtool docs and mandrake's library policy can't find a
solution.
