I have a quick question, I upgraded to kernel 2.4.10 because I have an AMD761 chipset and needed AGPGART support that worked, since then I keep getting this error message when I run my firewall: iptables log-level 'info' ambiguos try iptables -h for more info....
here's my logging line from rc.firewall : $IPT -A firewall -j LOG --log-level info --log-prefix "Firewall:" I guess the question is, why is log level 'info' suddenly no longer an option, and what is the correct one now? it would really be nice to have a logging facility for my firewall again :) Thanks in advance, Ryan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Juan Quintela" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Changelog List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, October 01, 2001 11:00 AM Subject: [CHRPM] iptables-1.2.2-9mdk > --=-=-= > Name : iptables Relocations: (not relocateable) > Version : 1.2.2 Vendor: MandrakeSoft > Release : 9mdk Build Date: Thu Sep 27 00:32:48 2001 > Install date: (not installed) Build Host: bi.mandrakesoft.com > Group : System/Kernel and hardware Source RPM: (none) > Size : 238079 License: GPL > Packager : Juan Quintela <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > URL : http://netfilter.samba.org/ > Summary : Tools for managing Linux kernel packet filtering capabilities > Description : > iptables controls the Linux kernel network packet filtering code. > It allows you to set up firewalls and IP masquerading, etc. > > Install iptables if you need to set up firewalling for your > network. > > Install this only if you are using the 2.4 kernels!! > > --=-=-= > > * Thu Sep 27 2001 Juan Quintela <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 1.2.2-9mdk > > - /etc/sysconfig/iptables moved to %doc iptables.sample. > - /etc/sysconfig/iptables moved to %doc ipt6ables.sample. > - We need that because we don't want something for default in a firewall. > - We remove the /etc/sysconfig/ip[6]tables if it is the default one, we need > that to let drakgw to work, agreed with gc (drakgw author) on this change. > > -- > http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/cookerdevel.php3 > >
