After updating to 2.4.8-26mdk I have noticed a lot of problems:

1. my OSS sound drivers get loaded, but cause a kernel panic as soon as
I try to play any sound (something about not being able to handle a
NULL pointer at 000000)

2. I also saw this while looking at `dmesg`:

It looks like a virtual memory problem ... I hope this was not the
kernel shipped with 8.1 ... and that we get the 2.4.10-ac soon ...
