I can't, C compilation is still some kind of sorcery for me :-)
However, it works:
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../../include -I../.. -O3 
-fomit-frame-pointer -pipe -mcpu=pentiumpro -march=i586 -ffast-math 
-fno-strength-reduce -pipe -O3 -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe -mcpu=pentiumpro 
-march=i586 -ffast-math -fno-strength-reduce -pipe -c create.c -MT create.lo 
-MD -MP -MF .deps/create.TPlo  -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/create.lo
