I received an error installing the latest kernel:
    "There is no /lib/modules/yes, skipping creation of initrd"

I had just upgraded mkinitrd and initscripts to the cooker levels:
    mkinitrd-3.1.6-10mdk
    initscripts-6.27-20mdk

Edited /etc/sysconfig/installkernel so
    NOLINK="yes"

Then did:
# rpm -i -v kernel-2.4.12-3mdk.i586.rpm
Preparing packages for installation...
kernel-2.4.12-3mdk
There is no /lib/modules/yes, skipping creation of initrd

Problem:
While I don't want my default /boot/vmlinuz link changed, I think that
mkinitrd should have been run anyway.
