Difficult to avoid for the past several cookers.  I spotted it only by 
using flat list selection.  When I deselected it, it also deselected the 
spell checker ... until I selected the languages I required, then I could 
have a spell checker.  It's a bit of a nuisance.  A while back we all had 
Croatian locale if we weren't very careful ;-p
