It makes use of KDE/Qt's widget styling engine, which uses custom C++ code to render the widgets. To meet the high performance objectives, the style is made of tileable components rather than pixmaps (which would need to be scaled). Features include: Translucent menus. Fully configurable colors. It handles custom colors like those used by KCalc correctly (see the screenshots). High performance. No scaling is required, and caching (thus memory usage) is kept to a minimum. I wanted to create a style engine that both looked cool and is usable on an everyday basis by people doing stuff like compiling all day.
