.xsession-errors and XFree86.0.log and XFree86.9.log are quite big, I send
you only the first few dozen lines, let me know if I should attach the whole
files.
xsession-errors:
SESSION_MANAGER=local/laptop.marcio.ch:/tmp/.ICE-unix/1620

** WARNING **: Host name lookup failure on localhost.

Xlib: Client is not authorized to connect to Server
xscreensaver: Can't open display: :0
xscreensaver: initial effective uid/gid was root/root (0/0)
xscreensaver: running as nobody/nobody (99/99)

I also get a lot of Gtk-warnings and gdk-errors (probably because I killed
the X-server after the first startx) and the usual "X connection to :0.0
broken (explicit kill or server shutdown)."

XFree86.9.log:
XFree86 Version 4.1.0 / X Window System

        newer than the above date, look for a newer version before
        reporting problems.  (See http://www.XFree86.Org/FAQ)
