I get reproducible system lockup when I try to login (actually, with the
very first boot I was able to do it once, but system hung in the second
attempt and on every subsequent reboot). It does not matter if it is
remote (ssh) or local console. Both hang. Booting the same system with
2412-3 is O.K. 

It is different from the previous lockups that happened on
pam_console_apply (as far as I can tell).

This is booting with devfs=mount and CD-ROM in supermounted drive. The
trace shows ls /mnt/cdrom but on the next reboot system hung doing logon
already so it may be irrelevant.
