Most of the applications that are broken want libgdk_pixbuf.so.2.  I think
that the updated packages deleted this file.   Is this part of that whole
Orbit / gdk upgrate thing?

gdk-pixbuf on the 8.1 CD definitely provided this library, which is now
not part of this package.  I haven't been able to FIND a package
libgdk-puxbuf2-0.12.0-1mdk
