Hi, I have been using for ages a script that checks all my installed rpms and update them if a newer version is available. That thing checks the all 1800 installed packages in 1 minute on this machine so it uses rpmquery intensively.
After few loops, kernel-2.4.13-6mdk panics: Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address bfffc0fc Process rpmq Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler In interrupt handler - not syncing. It goes smoothly with 2.4.13-4mdk. The machine is a 400 MHz PII with 256M RAM. BTW, why is the shortcut to /usr/lib/rpm/rpmq called rpmquery? Why not call it rpmq? It would be much faster to type. =-= kk1
