Ran into the following when I tried to update to the 13-6 kernel on a system running a mostly stock 8.1
kernel-2.4.13-6mdk requires iptables-1.2.1-2mdk iptables-1.2.1-2mdk requires kernel-2.4.13-6mdk If either package is installed solo the other is given as a failed depend. If rpmdrake is used to dl and install iptables 1-2, kernel 13-6 will be pulled in is as a depend and also installed. Why is iptables now built to depend on a specific kernel build -6, rather than the >kernel-2.4 as before? Charles
