I just switched back from uninett.no to ftp.sunet.se and noticed the following discrepancies *still* exist:
i586/Mandrake/RPMS2 is a directory at uninett.no, whereas at ftp.sunet.se i586/Mandrake/RPMS2 -> ../../../contrib/i586/ i586/Mandrake/mdkinst/usr/lib/X11 is a directory at uninett.no, whereas at ftp.sunet.se i586/Mandrake/mdkinst/usr/lib/X11 -> ../X11R6/lib/X11 This is a nuisance when changing mirrors and it can lead to huge data loss if you are using, for example, rsync with the --delete switch.
