Just noticed a problem on my machine that was going on too long. In looking into why I did not notice this in my logcheck log updates it was because logcheck does not seem to be dealing with all of the logs. I had to add /var/log/mail/errors to the list of logs to check. One might also want to add /var/log/news/errors too, although I do not run any news servers here so I didn't.
