I did a little search and found the gpilotd-conduit-capplet and gpilotd-control-applet in 2 places - both there since Nov 6th which was probably when I upgraded to the new control center. Anyway, they were in:
/usr/share/gnome/apps/Settings/Peripherals and /usr/share/control-center/Peripherals/ By copying them to: /usr/share/control-center/capplets/Advanced/ they now show up in control-center and seem to work. I can't guarantee that because I don't have my pilot cradle with me today. I'll try on Monday to do the 'sync' and see what happens.
