Yesterday I updated stock 8.1 with current updates. Being lazy I just went into directory and did rpm -Fvh *. To my surprise it correctly updated kernel *and* it correctly set up lilo entries *and* even run lilo so after reboot new kernel was up and running without any manual intervention.
Was something changed in installkernel, rpm or kernel.spec recently? Or is there some bug in rpm that rpm -F works differently from rpm -U? -andrej
