I tried doing a pcmcia net install with the Dell Inspiron I8000 using the pcmcia.img for both cooker (Dec 4) and 8.1. The cooker did not have a driver for the 3c575 and 8.1 locked up the laptop. I have done many net installs using this card before with 8.1, so this is a problem related to this laptop. I also tried suse 7.3 (installed from cdrom but the system would lock up whenever any pcmcia lan card is inserted), but I have had no problems using redhat's 7.2 pcmcia.img diskette.
