It already requires libXm.so.2 And if you have to use openmotif, because some programs are not satisfactorily running with lesstif, you are glad about this. But a explicit require is more verbose. So what? lesstif provides motif? openmotif provides lesstif? I know that openmotif is not in the dist. But this is or (better) was the standard.
