I didn't meant merging synthesis files, but using a standard name for each:
RPMS/synthesis.hdlist.cz for cooker
RPMS2/synthesis.hdlist.cz for contrib
This way a simplified urpmi.addmedia syntax, such as urpmi.addmedia <name> 
<directory>, would automaticlly look for a synthesis.hdlist.cz in this 
directory.
