Hello.

A friend of mine gave me his Visioneer 7600usb scanner yesterday. (seems
it's obsolete now since he bought Windows XP).. I figured I'd have a go at
getting sane working with it.

I plug it in the usb port, and it's recognised, and an entry is made for it
at /dev/usb/scanner0. Running sane-find-scanner finds it, says it had a
vendor = 0x04a7 and product = 0x0211. Xsane, however says that there are no
scanner devices.

        Output of cat /proc/bus/usb/devices is:

Any ideas where to go next with this?

        Thanks,

        Vinny
