I just upgrade from 8.1 to cooker kernel + initscripts. I am NOT using devfs so this problem isn't a result of that. I noticed that when I shut down the system before I started upgrading to cooker components, you would see the kernel message about deregistering the USB devices. After upgrading, I no longer see this message on reboot. When the system comes back up my mouse is useless... rmmod mousedev gives me a device is busy error message. I can remove the usbmouse module but without being able to remove and insmod the mousedev there is no way for me to get my mouse back. Anyone else having a similar problem?
