I have not had any success saving to ram with cooker. I have disabled dri in XF86Config-4, I have tried to disable every service, I have removed the troublesome USB statements from /etc/sysconfig/apmd, all to no avail as it will just reboot the system. The only section I can get save to ram to work properly in is single mode. However if I do save to ram and come back, then go to init 2-5, then it will boot up to a command prompt and then a minute later reboot. I can find no clue in any of my logs. I am using the Dell Inspiron 8000 with bios A17.
