I dont understand you.
I have latest libpython2.2-2.2-3mdk what givs me the newer
libpython2.2.so.0.0.
I needed the older lib or a newer xchat.
Or im things missing here?

Of course :-).
Sonames (e.g the different numbers in library names) are meant
for something: libraries are not binary compatibles.
Sometimes they are backwards compatible.
Then i can do a link from older to newer lib.

Install newest Python library.
