1)
I might have found one reason for my box's peculiar way with locale. First I
had noticed that my box tried to first install Us-en and later GB-en. This
probably lies in the installer scripts, and how fast it reads its data. My
guess is that the script reads the default proposed Us-en and saves it, then
I change it to Gb-en and this data is read and saved. During this time span
the program has tried to find relevant files. Later I press advanced and add
sv, which is read and saved. My report.bug clearly shows that Us-en is first
tried, then Gb-en and then sv.
I tested my hypothesis on the similar scenario with keyboard.
If I change the proposed keyboard from Uk to Us and then go down to more and
opt for sv keyboard, then the keyboard I have is that of Us.
My box is a PIII 933 with ECC 133 MHz ram, so it might be to fast for the
scripts. It would be better if the data was not collected until the OK button
is pressed, as a multiuser OS on a two channel pentium ( if I remember right)
might show pecularities.

2)
KDE hangs the computer completely, and the fine ext3 doesn't seam to function
as a complete check of my relevant partitions is done.
kdebase-2.2.2-19mdk.i586.rpm

I can send report.bug and -xsessionerrors if requested.

regards
guran
