Its not a compiler. Its just the preprocessor. And there are _MANY_
things that Widoze install you do not need to run them. You just do
not know.
And you know the reason: for all features of xrdb to work you need
cpp. Then you need cpp for X (not for Linux, it can run w/o X just
fine ;). Thats how packages are made. If you installed from sources
you would really need a full compiler ;-)
