humm what i read[1] is :

,----
|
| Alan Cox recently released a new -ac kernel, based on the 2.4.18
| tree. The patch applies to 2.4.18pre3. It appears it was released in
| response to many queries, as Alan says, "People keep bugging me about
| the -ac tree stuff so this is whats in my current internal diff with
| the ll patch and the ide changes excluded." Most of these changes are
| intended to be included in Marcelo's main stable 2.4 kernel.
|
| In addition to numerous bug fixes, this branch uses Rick van Riel's
| rmap VM, as opposed to the VM in the main 2.4 tree since
| 2.4.10. Alan's last -ac release was 2.4.13-ac8. The full changelog
| follows.
`----

So if it is planned to be included in Marcelo's tree we just have to
wait when it will be merged.
