I just noted that snd-timer is in initializing status.. Seems to be
because I got the following oops while loading, could be confirmed
by cat /proc/asound/cards:

With kernel-2.4.16.2mdk I didn't have such problems at all, looking closer
to the boot process I don't think it's a devfs related problem (the oops
also happens with devfs=nomount). Anything what I could try to find the
problem ? I strongly suppose it has something todo with 3DNOW, but how
do I get sound if I don't even can install a self-made AMD-K62 kernel ?

Until tomorrow I recompile my kernel to a normel i586 one which should
work as well I hope and report again if there are trouble with that.
(Recompiling lasts quite long even with a 500 Mhz AMD-K62 :-( )

Regards,

Reinhard
