Thanks for your input Jason. That's the missing piece for me. I was 
using gFTP to download the dir but i didn't know what would be best to 
do after that. Thanks again.
If anyone else could supplement this response with there own methods of 
updating cooker that would be much appreciated, we could even put it 
together into a mini HOWTO or something.
