If you check in the archives for the kde-multimedia mailing list there's been many discussions about what makes Noatun crash on startup. It's mostly considered a packaging error. Archive: http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-multimedia&r=1&w=2 One common answer is that "the mcopclass files in noatun/library/noatunarts not being installed correctly. --prefix for kdemm must be the same as for kdelibs".
