The gl scores for the geforce are always going to be higher than that
of a comp radeon because of the chip arch and how each is built to handle gl.
As far as looking at gears, to the naked eye the radeon 'looks' faster"
and is definitly smoother.
As to actual scores 32mb geforce2-athlon650-384mb ram 1500fbs
32mb radeon ddr-duron800-458mb ram 500fbs
64mb geforce3-xp1900-512mb ram 3000fbs
64mb radeon ddr-tbird1000ghz-458mb ram 1000fsb
At the moment the radeon is broken in XFree.
4.20 will soon be making its way to the mirrors and is supposed to fix
that.
Both are good cards and give great performance.
The radeon works out of the box and of course you know that with nvidia
you have to rebuild for each new kernel you install.
