Yea, we don't want no slick and shiny boot screens. After all this is the OS for true men (and women), people who have witnessed the rise of the transistor. Or maybe this is a nasty trick from the marketing department to get at big company buyers, reminding them of those happy drunken nights in front of a 64K machine when one had time to kill a sixpack while the soft loaded from tapes. Have you noticed that mdk is so fond of that screen that they extended default boot timeout to 10s? -- rcc
