On the first realease of the kernel 2.4.17-5mdk i have encountered some problems with the r128, XFree.0.log gives me me different version of drm module, and then i have made a mix with few patches original and mdk one, trying to make it work, cause i can't download many amounts of data. Applied to 2.4.17.tar.bz2 , the original prepatch 2.4.18-pre7 and then few patches from mdk, the ones relative to drm. This is what i've done: patch-2.4.18-pre7 from Kernel.org linux-2.4.18-pre4-disable_sis_drm.patch* linux-2.4.18-pre4-drm-XFree-4.2.0.patch* linux-2.4.18-pre6-andrea_vm_23.patch* linux-2.4.18-pre7-ipfwadm-compile-fix.patch* linux-2.4.18-pre7-pci_unmap_addr_set-fix.patch* I hope could be useful. I will try to apply other patches. Thank you. Andrea Tavazzani
