Chipset. Several of the drivers work for several different models. However, I seriously doubt anyone has a card out there that the chipset isn't easily found on the web. So providing the card model would be sufficent. > BTW: there are PCI Wireless cards out there, world is not ended at PCMCIA :-) Every single one I've seen is just a pcmcia adapter bundled with a pcmcia card. Of course someone might be making something different but it would be the first one I've seen. At least Linksys, SMC, D-Link, and Lucent all do it that way. > P.S. There is a binary version that has some extra features. And an open source version which is now shipped with pcmcia-cs. At any rate this isn't an issue. Wireless NICS have worked fine under Mandrake for ages. The only thing that isn't done is that the installer doesn't detect the card. However, I'm pretty sure that Stew got it setup on PPC so you can install from a network source via an Airport. So it's probably possible. But it isn't going to get done for 8.2. -- Ben Reser <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://ben.reser.org What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans, and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty and democracy? - Ghandi
