Hi I have problem to understand how fonts are generated within KDE, or any other window manager. To me any program launched within KDE, is to have a translation table, that relates between the key pressed and the font printed. If said program uses iso8859-1 or iso8859-15 should then be irrelevant as long as the font for 'Euro' is to be found in named table. To get the sought for font is then just a question of giving the right hexadecimal code to the desired key. As Kmail has the possibility to work with Unicode it might be more complicated than that.
Please point me in the right direction for a doc so that I might grasp this. regards guran -- Mandrake Linux 8.2 Cooker kernel-2.4.17.14mdk-1-1mdk version:2002-02-04-21:35
