I have discovered a bug probably due to packagin of dosemu and xdos that
affects Mandrake 8.0, 8.1 and also beta 1 of 8.2. The packages used for
these 3 releases in mandrake are the number 8, under 7.2 are number 6.
If you run xdos using the default free-dos image everything goes well,
but you can't acces to your harddrive and some applications are
unaccesible. If you create a /var/lib/dosemu/dos/ directory putting in
the last a MSDOS release and change the /etc/dosemu.conf file to start
dos and xdos form the mentioned new directory then dos runs, but xdos
crashes.

If you made the same using both, the xdosemu and the dosemu, packagres
from the Mandrake 7.2 (the 6-mdk package) everything run like a charm.

It seems the problem arises from the packagin, due that the dos and xdos
version is the same in 6 and 8mdk packages.

As a provisoire solution I recommend to put the old package in the next
beta and also in the upgrading tools for 8.0 and 8.1, for me it has run
well even in 8.2 beta1
