Curious, but wouldn't it be better to just use some version of BSD in order to get that kernel rather than trying to put the BSD kernel into Mandrake? I've messed with freeBSD a little and I know you can get it to look and feel almost identical to Linux - and if you were a coder, I imagine you could even get all the neat mandrake programs working there also (drakconf, etc...) On the other hand, I do think the original question was in the spirit of curiosity and not a plea for changing anything - does anybody *really* know what the answer might be? Just a quick comparison of the major points would be illuminating. Anybody up to the task?
