Good new and bad news - let's start with the good:

1) drakconf works as advertised - appears stable and the windowing is
correct now.

2) Install was relatively flawless

3) Finally the problem with the LS-120 drive and supermount (where the
system seems to hang and responds dog slow under KDE because it's trying
to access the media) - IS FIXED!!! Yea!

Bad News:

1) The Xircom Realport Cardbus 10/100 card still comes up in
half-duplex on first reboot after install (and stays that way)

2) squid still complains on shutdown

3) My CS462X based sound chipset in the notebook doesn't work now (was
previously OK) Tried to reconfigure it - but no luck.

Please see attached logs for reference (debugging)
