I have been trying to work around the issue that
dhcpcd is not properly closing down when service
pcmcia is restarted or a pcmcia lan card is removed
and re-inserted. I provided a temp fix in an earlier
post that resolves system shutdowns and removes
/etc/dhcpc/dhcpcd-eth0.pid but I also wanted to
mention that dhcpcd is not being properly closed. I
currently show 7 of them running (from my testing). I
am able to work around them by removing
/etc/dhcpc/dhcpcd-eth0.pid but the process remains in memory.
