I did exactly what you said and got this:
[rfox@foxbase rfox]$ ssh 192.168.1.102 [EMAIL PROTECTED]'s password: Last login: Wed Feb 13 12:35:56 2002 from 192.168.1.100 /usr/X11R6/bin/xauth: (stdin):1: bad display name "foxport:10.0" in "add" command [rfox@foxport rfox]$ su Password: [root@foxport rfox]# killall artsd artsd: no process killed [root@foxport rfox]# modprobe -r snd-card-461x [root@foxport rfox]# modprobe cs46xx /lib/modules/2.4.17-16mdk/kernel/drivers/sound/cs46xx.o.gz: init_module: No such device Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters modprobe: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.17-16mdk/kernel/drivers/sound/cs46xx.o.gz failed modprobe: insmod cs46xx failed [root@foxport rfox]# Something is fishy here . . . Oh, by the way - squid still complains while shutting down. Cheers, R.Fox On Wed, 2002-02-13 at 12:35, Pixel wrote: > [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Robert Fox) writes: > > > THANK YOU!!! I find it weird that non-alsa is not working (i > have the same sound-card, and both are working, though alsa works "longer") >
