Recently I spent several days figuring out why Nautilus was not
displaying file details on files >2GB. I bugged nautilus folks as
well as gnome-vfs folks, learned some stuff did some debugging and
fixed the problem.

I sent a patch to the cooker list and fcrozat for that problem.

I also just recently identified, and sent a detailed bug report to
both the cooker list and chmouel regarding xinetd.

We are now in beta 2 and I have not heard a word about the
nautilus/gnome-vfs bugreport (complete with a fix!) or the xinetd bug
report I sent, nor have I seen fixed packages for either.

Am I wasting my time here? Have I been dropped into some killfiles
for some reason or another? I certainly could have used that few days
I spent debugging and providing a fix for gnome-vfs if I had known my
contributions here were going to go without notice.

I am not looking for a pat on the back here or anything, just that the
time I spend making contributions here actually making it into the
product.

Comment please? Maybe it's time to go checkout Debian. I hear they
have a good "community" development system going there. ~sigh~
