we can just provide a default /etc/.aumixrc, containing :

vol:50:50:P
synth:0:0:P
pcm:50:50:P
speaker:50:50:P
line:50:50:P
mic:50:50:R
cd:50:50:P
igain:50:50:P
line1:50:50:P
phin:50:50:P
video:50:50:P


we can alsa provide a /etc/asound.conf containing:
on mandrakefirsttime, we can do an alsactl store
then s/off/on/ s/Volume1([0-9]*,[0-9]*)/Volume1(15,15)/
on /etc/asound.conf

so than we can handle all combinaisons of aumix and alsa-utils
installation.
