Playing around with the latest Cooker - I tried to enable file sharing
for a given directory (from my home directory). I added the user to the
"fileshare" group - retsarted KDE and got the "share" option for the
directory under Konqueror.

When I tried to enable the share - both the dialog screen and konqueror
appear to hang - but if you wait long enough (4 minutes) it came back
and appears to work - horribly slow with no indication of activity (at
least in Windows there is a busy icon for ages whilst it searches the
net). I also believe the komba browser should be auto loaded when share
is enabled . . . under KDE of course . ..

I also tried using gFTP and SSH2 as protocol with no big success - funny
enough, I use the SSH2 Windows client to a Mandrake box for remote
copying of files with no hassle - I just can't find an easy interface to
use from Linux to Linux (and I don't care to turn on FTP)

Any tips on using SSH file transfer using gFTP or similar GUI?

Cheers,
R.Fox
