Hi, try this command: EDITOR=emacs-nox crontab -e
or probably just try it with emacs if you don't have the emacs-nox package installed. Edit your crontab, and then see if it says: crontab: no changes made to crontab That's what I'm getting (and I woke up a half hour late this morning because of it...). It worked in Mandrake 7.2 vixie-cron-3.0.1-52mdk emacs-nox-21.1-5mdk
