Hello,

Since a few versions of msec I'm now having the Browser mode of gdm
forced on. I finally figured how this is achieved. msec is forcing this
setting on with the 'allow_user_list(1)' call in msec.py.

As far as I understand english 'allow_user_list' means users are
authorized to have a list of the users on this machine not that they are
_forced_ to see this list. So why is the 'Browser' value reset when
'allow_user_list' is called with 1 as an argument? It should leave it
_as is_ in this case and set it to 'false' when called with 0. Could this
be fixed? (I volonteer to provide a patch for it if asked for.)

This might look pointless but having the browser activated by default
with a hundred users is really of no use. It even slows down the start /
show up of gdm (the machine have not much memory so it get quickly swapped
out).

Cheers,

                                Odie
