My Gateway 9150XL has a combo DVD/LS-120 drive.

After a fresh install - under KDE - the floppy icon shows as mounted
(without media) - when I put a floppy into the drive and click on the
icon - Konqueror pops up and the drive is mounted and I can see the
data.

But when I try to eject the floppy - can't because it's mounted - try to
right-mouse click on the floppy icon and choose "unmount" and I get a
dialog box saying: Could not unmount device - umount: only root can
umount /mnt/floppy on /mnt/floppy

Only way to eject the floppy now is to su to root and umount /dev/floppy
- then eject.

Cheers,
R.Fox
