My first thought reading your message was that it would be a good
idea, and it still might.  But as you probably know, the actual core
kernels and XFree86 servers in the LTSP packages are pretty stock
RedHat stuff, and pretty much a special purpose thing, at least right
now.

We use it, and we are actively promoting it, here in Belize using
Mandrake on the server side, but we like that it is running kernel
packages compiled for older CPUs.

I'd be glad to help someone build such a wizard.  LTSP works fine here
with Mandrake enterprise kernel 2.4.17-18.
