I think you are both right (or wrong :). The problem is, that the kernel has the wrong kernel version number. Currently I compile all kernels from Mandrake by myself because they are 2.4.18 Kernels and not 2.4.17. I name them 2.4.18-0.xsm (Mandrake would should have named it 2.4.18-0.xmdk) > On Thu, 2002-02-21 at 22:18, Martin Ma?ok wrote: > > On Thu, Feb 21, 2002 at 09:05:45PM +0000, richard wrote: > > > HGi all, any idea when this kernel will appear as a mdk version ?? > > > > It's already in. > > > > % rpm -q --changelog kernel-2.4.17.20mdk|head > > * St no 20 2002 Juan Quintela <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 1-1mdk > > > > - enable rpmhelper module in all the kernels for now on. > > - 2.4.18-rc2. The reason why I rename it is the CVS patch from IEEE1394 (this one requires the "2.4.18" name or else compilation will fail).
